A tropical system is expected to develop over the western Gulf in the coming days. This system is then forecast to move north and east into Louisiana and Arkansas toward the end of the week. The system will glance by western Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma to the east, bringing only a low chance of showers and storms to that area.
