A system moving into the region late Friday afternoon will bring heavy snow to the mountain passes. There is a winter storm watch in effect for Western Chelan county from late Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon. Forecasted snow totals range from 12 to 24 inches for Stevens Pass, 12 to 18 for Lookout Pass, and 6 to 10 inches for Sherman Pass. Snow will create slick travel conditions and gusty winds may lower visibilities due to blowing snow.
