Calm and dry conditions will continue into the first part of the weekend with the next chance for rain and thunderstorms moving into the area on Sunday morning. Rain chances will stick around through mid week next week as heat begins to build back into the area, with heat indices over 100 degrees possible by Monday. Any afternoon thunderstorms next week would provide brief and isolated relief from the heat.
