A strong spring storm will bring rain, heavy snow, gusty winds and a few non-severe thunderstorms to the area today through tonight. Snow will start in central, north-central, and far northeast WI late this morning, with rain elsewhere. The rain will change to heavy, wet snow from NW to SE this afternoon into this evening. Snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour are possible this afternoon into early this evening, mainly north and west of the Fox Valley. The afternoon and evening commutes for locations north and west of the Fox Valley will see impacts from the storm. Rapid deteriorations in travel conditions will occur after sunset in the Fox Valley and lakeshore areas.
