Some wild spring weather is in store for the next couple of days! An approaching cold front will produce strong winds across northwest Colorado on Thursday from late morning into the evening. Meanwhile, to the south, winds will be less intense but still strong enough to produce dangerous fire weather conditions across southwest Colorado. Behind the front, colder air and increasing moisture will result in widespread valley rain and mountain snow. Accumulations up to 12 inches and possibly more may fall across the northern Colorado mountains by late Friday night. Temperatures will become much colder Friday with the potential for a hard freeze across northwest Colorado Saturday morning. |
