Periods of rain are expected this morning into early this afternoon for areas along south of Interstate 80. There is chance for thunderstorms this afternoon into early this evening for northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana included the Chicago metro area. A cold front will move across the area tonight bringing colder temperatures to the area through Thursday morning. Areas of frost will be possible late Wednesday night into Thursday morning. An unsettled pattern is expected late this week into the weekend with periods of showers and thunderstorms expected.
